Lost in Nature

Part of the Lost In series, this collage combines text, maps, and natural forms to explore a transitional space of perception. Scale and perspective are subtly shifted, creating a calm yet slightly surreal environment where observation and movement become central to the experience.

Description

This work from the Lost In series explores the natural environment as a constructed field of perception, where fragments of text, maps, and organic forms merge into a single visual system. Through collage and layered impressions, scale and the observer’s role are intentionally shifted. Nature is not presented as a place of repose but as a dynamic transitional zone, where observation, movement, and the act of recording reality become part of the artistic statement. Calm compositional rhythms combine with subtle surreal shifts, reinforcing the series’ central idea — being “lost” as a means to expand perception.
