Description
Collective Vulnerability, a work from the Lost in series, presents a group of human figures as an exhausted and vulnerable mass — a state of collective pressure and dependence. Individuality is not distinguished; the figures exist as a generalized form of human fragility and the limits of resources.
The golden staircase establishes a direction of exit and the idea of hierarchical transition — movement toward another level of position and access. It functions as the structural axis of the composition and as a sign of a resource, attainment of which requires choice.
A large female figure forms a point of observation within the scene. Her scale and calmness create distance from the unfolding events and establish a perspective of assessment.
The composition concludes the idea of collective disorientation, highlighting the fragility of the mass and the potential for exit.
